Haia all
We've recently imported our volunteering data in to Tessitura and the team are going to be using it to register new volunteers/update existing ones going forward - however I'd love to be able to pull this data on constituents with that constituency in to Analytics so that they're able to make use of the visual reporting. Details around which Museum they volunteer at and other elements like which volunteer role or project they're working on are recorded as attributes on the records, and some of the more personal data is control grouped to just the Vols team.
I know I can start to do some of this with Lists of that constituency and/or specific attributes but wondered if anyone had any other words of wisdom? All thoughts v welcome!
Diolch,
Kirsty
Attributes aren't available in analytics, unfortunately, so while you could pull a list into analytics that uses attributes as criteria, you can't see them in analytics. Your best bet might be a custom output set on your list. We had a custom volunteer tracking screen built just before shutdown in 2020 that gave us a way to record all of those things, with an associated report. I believe it was built in InfoMaker, so it won't work exactly as is in v16, but it might be something to consider. Michael Flaherty-Wilcox is the one who built it. Here's what it looks like on the record:
Hi KirstyCould you make use of the custom_category options in TX_ANALYTICS_DIVISION_ELEMENT for this? We've just started using these (although not for attributes) and they are working well for us. I'm happy to talk through the steps we did , if helpful, as the help documentation is a little light.
Anne, I was just wondering the other day if/how to pull a list into Analytics. It seems like there must be, but if so I've yet to find it.
Do you mean this?

Ah awesome thanks Alison - I'll take a look at this and give you a shout if/when I get stuck!
