I'm discovering that in my Membership dashboard an Individual member of a household is showing as a New Member because he initiated the membership once. Is there a way to filter the dashboard to look at the household holistically when referring to New/Reinstate/Renewed?

Not really, no. If typically, memberships are being recorded against the household, would it be worth seeing whether the older membership can be moved to the household, with the individual as the initiator on the contribution?
