Do I know that I can add a second data source to a widget? I currently have a widget with some subscriber information, and would like to add contribution data, but can't for the life of me figure out how to do that! Can you help?

You can have different data sources in a Dashboard, but only one in a particular Widget. There is some constituent information around contributions and memberships in the Seats and Tickets cube, but it's necessarily limited so as not to cause row duplication.
I don't think that's possible, unfortunately. You can re-create (most of) a widget in Contributions and Finance (for instance), but you can't pull in different data sources. You'd be able to get most of the way there with a custom view in SQL, I'd imagine, but that's beyond my scope
The only workaround here I know of is to use Lists. If you create a dynamic criteria list and use it as a filter, you can sometimes cheat on data sources.

You can also cheat sometimes by using custom fields to pull in data if it's at the constituent level.
