The folks over at Data Orchard are writing about nonprofit organizations needs for strong data skills if we want to make better use of data in delivering our impact. But their research is suggesting that data skills are a relative weakness across our sector.Madeleine Spinks and Ben Proctor consider why this is and more importantly what can be done about this.

There are loads of great things in this article including the Open Data Institute (ODI) Data Skills Framework (which inspires some great thoughts for areas we can cover in analytic Coffee!) and the data maturity framework for assessing where you are at. It's a really good read.
