Hello Tessitura friends,
So, I'm not sure if this is an appropriate question or not, so feel free to (nicely) let me know if I'm out of bounds.
I’m curious to know if anyone would be interested in providing some one-on-one (or small group) training opportunities for increasing my SQL skills as they relate to Tessitura? I’m also interested in learning more about the code behind Analytics dashboards, and learning how to write/edit formulas.
I've been given the ok to say that our organization would be willing to pay for this amazing learning opportunity.
Feel free to reply here, or you can email me directly if you'd like at LesleyC@slso.org.
Thanks so much!
Lesley
Lesley,
I know Tom Brown (Past Member) has put together some good resources on this; possibly he has something he can send your way. Additionally, this thread outlines a lot of thoughts people have previously given on learning SQL: https://community.tessituranetwork.com/tessitura_software_forums/f/tessitura_technical-9/27607/learning-sql/76158
Additionally, feel free to ask any questions here on the forums. We love answering questions.

John A. Moskal II,
I definitely have done these kind of things in the past. It can be a lot of fun both for the participants and the mentors. Lesley Chaney joined me about a year ago in one such activity I've done over the past 2-3 year. However, over the next few month I've got some really large projects coming up and will not be able to help out in this way at this time.
Are there others out there who have an interest in being a SQL mentor? If so please feel free to reach out to me and I can share what I've done in the past. Or bring this as a question to the next analytic Coffee! We can see if we can pair you Lesley with others and a SQL Mentor.

Thank you John! I was lucky to be able to work with Tom in the past, and am looking for the "continuing education" version of that relationship! ;)
I am not in a DBA position but more on the analysis side of the data. The link above contains A LOT of good info!
