Hi Folks,
I have an armload of text based feedback from Covid surveys that could use some analysis. I was wondering if anyone had used MAXQDA or any other Qualitative Data Analysis software like nVivo and Atlas.ti
Cheers,

My wife has done some computer application supported text analysis. Lots of manual tagging. I’ve done a bit of NLP data analysis. There are som R packages that folks use for this kind of work. What exactly are you hoping to get from the analysis? Are you wanting to do a sentiment analysis? Clustering work? Named Entity Extraction? Something else?
Reach out to me directly if I can be of some help tom@41xRT.com
In fact we were looking at Taguette for a research project my wife is working on.

I’ve *really* *really* wanted to play around with https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/services/cognitive-services/text-analytics/#overview — it’s free to start and Microsoft Azure credits for nonprofits are generous (and even then, they can usually be convinced to extend free stuff for projects). Nevertheless, haven’t taken the opportunity yet.

I'm still very interested in diving into this. Perhaps when the never ending cycle of forecasting and reforecasting is done.
I'm interested in sentiment analysis initially but there is a lot more specific data in there related to COVID that is really useful for talking to audiences personally. That'd be more cluster work IMHO
They both look amazing
If you are able to do some work on this please let us know how this is going.
