Social Distancing in theatres

I'm just going to leave this here for discussion.

This little article sums up a lot of the math we did at SDC with regards to the cost of performing in theatres. As we don't own our venue our break even would price us out of our market to the point of costing us substantial amounts to perform

  • The problem I see with a computer seating algorithm is it would not take into account people tying to shift their seats once in the venue. We are exploring the viability of social distancing seating, one thing we are thinking about is actually blocking seats and removing rows so they can’t be used. Of course none of this is financially viable at the moment.
