analytic Coffee! a year in review, by the numbers of course

All analytic Coffee Lovers!

I just noticed that we have grown to a group of more than 200!

We have met by my count 21 times in virtual online lean coffee.  Each time we discussed 5 topics +/- 2 topics that were of interest to the gathered group,  During this year we have discussed 102 topics to the satisfaction of the group gathered online.  (I could put a box and whisker plot here to give you a better sense.  However, it is getting late.)  We also had 25-30 discussion threads on TessituraNetwork.com.  With a shout out by  for one of the threads that made him particularly happy. And of course, we had in-person Meetup at TLCC 2019.

Thank you to all who have participated.  I have learned a whole bunch from each of you.

It's been quite a first year.  What are folks hoping for from analytic Coffee for the coming year?

Drop your notes below.

  • It's a great group and wonderful to hear people in person. Being in a small organisation analysis can be a very lonely business.

Things I'm looking forward to in 2020 are

    • Being able to wake up more often for it
    • Some more wonderful broad conversations about analysis that people are using to define trends in their data.
    • Amazing ways of segmenting customers by behaviour that achieve better strategic results
    • Catching up with everyone again in Colorado

    Happy holidays all

  • It's been so great watching this group come together & learn from each other this year. , thanks so much for your leadership! Cheers!

  • I've been so grateful to this group as I navigate a new organization! Having such a wide range of expertise to rely on is priceless, as is the encouragement I've received from you all.

Things I'm looking forward to in 2020:

    • learning more about complex analysis tools
    • cool visualizations of data (and when the simple chart is the best chart)
    • discussions of ethics in analysis and data integrity
    • all the amazing ways we're accomplishing analysis across our many organizations

    Happy Holidays!
