Another source of Machine learning, education is a podcast called "Linear Digressions". If you are interested in trying a recommendation system. You might find the current episode on Factorisations machines to be of interest.
A source of basic Python education is the Python for Everyone Specialization with Dr. Charles Severance from the University of Michigan. I chose not to get certificates for this set of courses just Audit. This is a nice gentle introduction to Python. It does not have a Data Science focus. But it will get you started with the language. The first few sections of this program you can do without Python installed on your computer. However, you will eventually need to get to that point.
