Does anyone know an out-of-the-box way to take Installment plans over the web for contributions? We are looking to do monthly/yearly giving, and I wondered what other people may have come up with that does not rely on custom tables/SPs. As long as it just involves API calls and a little magic in the presentation layer, I certainly don't mind.

Hi Jason -
We put all our donations through the On Account methodology - which means a person has to touch every contribution. Since they have to anyways, we do installations through a simple means of creating a specific CSI with the installment info. We charge the "first" installation right away, and then our devo processor will set up the full pledge/installment option.
The only trick is making sure the web displays the correct math. This methodology would not work if you processed your contributions directly through a ticket order.

Do you have an e-confirmation that lists the pledge billing dates/amounts? Are you on TNEW?
