Updating Research Notes using the web?

Hi Tessitura friends -

Is anyone using the web to update research notes? i.e. if I have a specific note type that I'd like the patron to update when they're registering for a class online, is there a way to do so? I know we will need to have our web vendor write custom code, but any thoughts API-wise would be helpful!
