CVV Validation

Is this possible via the web? Does it require custom web logic?

    TNSi (uk) have different modes of what is required e.g. cvv post/zip code, house number and how much of a failure on each of these things are a rejection. You will need to speak to the people that validate your cards to set this for you

  • Okay. We are using Intrix Technologies Transcend services. I have the" Release Transactions When CVV data:" settings turned on. And in Tessitura -> Campaigns -> Payment Method I have the "Use CV2" parameter set to required for this particular payment method I am testing. I am still able to pass an invalid CVV number.

    You will need to speak to Intrix Technologies Transcend services to get them to reject the whole transaction when the CVV/CV2 number isn't correct.

    In Tessitura, the flag is "required", so you can't process without a 3/4 digit number.  Tessitura doesn't care what 3/4 digits you give it, just that you fill something in.  E.g.  In TEST pointing the credit card service at TEST Transcend, you can enter Visa number 4444333322221111 and any 3 digit number you like for the CVV.  Tessitura will accept it and it is transcends job to reject it if it is wrong.

    You can't modulus check the CVV/CV2 number, which is why it needs to be rejected from the bank/transcend.

  • I spoke to intrix and they mentioned if I wanted to decline a CVV when processing and have it give you a declined cvv error (which I do), that will be something I have to set up with our bank that gives the authorization. Otherwise all Transcend will do is hold the order until you tell it to do something else because right now it's allowing us to process without collecting an order.
