Does anyone else have issues with donors being frustrated by login to give online?

Does anyone else receive complaints from donors who are frustrated by a login being required to give online?  We are getting a lot of complaints about this.  Is there anything we can do?  How do other companies deal with this?

Right now, we have our Give One Time donations as a separate web database we view in our CMS so people don’t have to log in to do it.  We then manually enter the info into Tessy, which is manageable for our staff given the volume and ebbs and flows of these donation.

They DO have to create a web account if they want to become a Strathmore Star member, which would be unmanageable if it were not integrated into Tessy.

Yes, at City Center we do what Jennifer does at Strathmore: our year end gifts and other special one-time gifts are done with a simple web form, while member renewals are done through our ticketing path.

When we send our member renewal reminder e-mails, we include a reminder of their username, if they have one. (Click here to renew using your username "xxx".)

Although i wasn't here for the history of this feature, Carnegie Hall has implemented a workaround here:  https://www.carnegiehall.org/SiteCode/Integration/OneStepMakeDonation.aspx

The page will use the available info to look up and see if the Donor exists, and if so, will exexecute the required logic to apply the donation to that Donors account.  If they can't be found as existing, it will create a new account with the supplied info.
