Hi, Is there anyway for our ticket office to know if a patron used SYOS or best available option for online purchase? They would love backup for the inevitable "I didn't know our seats were not together" situations. Our TNEW site defaults to DisplayContigSeatsCheckbox=TRUE but the customer could uncheck it and purchase or, of course, use SYOS. If not, are there any options to include "seats not together" message on email confirmation? Again, just looking for "cya" options.
Thanks for your help,
Jeri
TNEW adds a special request to all BA seats for the num contiguous seats. SYOSed seats don't have a special request created. So unless you're doing something with a validation point to create a special request, you can pretty much tell the difference by the presence of a special request or lack thereof. I wrote a report to do the comparison of SYOS vs BA. Glad to share.
I *think* I tested this and even if you uncheck the "seats together" box, orders that come through best available still have a spec req created, but I might be misremembering that part. Or maybe we were just okay with that margin of error... You might want to test this to be sure.
But basically, if there's no spec req, the patron did something, either SYOS (or if I'm wrong about the spec req always being there, then unchecking the box), to allow the not-together seats to be selected. So that might be backup enough?
