This only happens in our production system not our Test System.
This is an intermitent problem that we can only resolve by rebooting the Tessitura server.
When a user selects a product from our website besides the getproductions api call a stored procedure we wrote called get_extended_event_information or get_extended_class_information; depending on the performance type of the event is called. These procedures will return content types that we setup on the event/class at the event level in the production elements.
Everything will be working fine for several weeks or months then all of the sudden everytime we select a Class or event performance type an error will be returned indicating that an invalid datatype is in one of our content values that is being retrived in the get_extended_class_information or get_extended_event_Information stored procedures that we wrote. , eventhough everything looks fine at the event level in the production element and we can access the same Event/Class on our mirrored test systen. In addition no changes were made to the database.
Sometimes the problem is just limited to one performance type.
When we reboot the the API server the problem persists, but when we reboot the Tessitursa Server and come back up the problem stops.
Any ideas would be appreciated. I would think one event or class could not bring a website down.
Hi Bob:I would suggest submitting a this to Support for review if you haven’t already. The reboot of the SQL server makes me think this could be worth a look under the hood or at the custom procedures.
Best,
Kristin
