TNEW customer's being "bumped" off under time allotment

Hi folks,

We just had our TNEW site launch last week and our first day of online single ticket sales are today!  Everything is going very smoothly, but I was wondering if anyone else ran into a common concern we've been having today.

We've had a few customers call saying that the website bumped them off as if the time had expired for their order to take place ( I set this for 9 minutes in our defaults).  I've been trying to make this happen for me with no luck, but it sounds legit as it's happening to more than a handful of people.  They all claim to be attempting to purchase well under the 9 minute allotment.  Apparently, they don't get an error message, but it just appears that there's nothing in their cart when they go to pay at checkout. :(

Could it be because of heavy site traffic?  I assumed it might have to do with another patron in the interwebs attempting to put the tickets in their cart at the same time and the first one to the Checkout wins the bid.  Any ideas on how I could troubleshoot to fix it so people can not get 'bumped'?

Thanks!

PS.  TNEW SYOS makes me giddy.  It's just lovely.

  • Hi Tiffany,

Congrats on going live with TNEW! I’m so glad you’re happy with the new SYOS – we’re pretty excited about it too! For support issues like this, it’s probably best if someone at your organization submits a TASK help ticket (selecting the “TN Express Web” application functional area). That way we can work to resolve your issue directly.

    Best,

    Karyn,

FYI this exact scenario was happening here too although in TEST, not LIVE earlier this afternoon, while reviewing v3 testing.  This had never happened before.

I was about to submit a TASK ticket, but then decided to try one more time.  The situation appears to have rectified itself as I have tested multiple times since then with no issues.
