Katie,

My apologies – I misread your original post.  My suggestion was for the case when the .asmx page was returning an error.  Unfortunately, I don’t have any other suggestions.

Steve,

Thanks for your reply. I wanted to get more info about your suggestion. Do you mean to try the online ASMX web interface? Or are you referring to something else?

Not sure if it was clear before, that we have NO PROBLEMS whatsoever when we use the ASMX online API, which uses POST to submit their queries....it's when we use a PHP SOAP connection, and try to call the functions through the SOAP connection that we are having a really hard time (nothing seems to be submitting, and no helpful errors are produced).

Can you please elaborate on your initial suggestion (if it is still applicable, given what I explained just now)? Or do you have any suggestions?

Katie,

First thing to try is to see if you can do this from the Tessitura client logged in as either the Web user or in the Web group to make sure it’s not a security related issue.

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone else has had an issue like this.

I'm trying to update a constituents attributes via the Web API with no luck. What's odd is that, with the SOAP functions, I'm unable to update anything, but if I use the the API in a browser (POST) the values are, in fact, updated. We placed a trace on our testing server and it appears as if the call isn't even getting to the stored procedure via the SOAP calls. We're able to get information about a constituent fine, just not update constituent attributes.
