Hello Developers,Are there any PHP developers out there? We are starting to plan the development of a custom in-house built ticket transaction website (box office) in conjunction with the NextGen release. Our small team knows PHP well and we don't have the time to start learning .NET 101 for this type of project. (The current site is on an old version from POP.) We have a lot of unique issues going on at our organization and we need to be able to develop unique solutions into our box office site.We are prepared to build the PHP API class from scratch. But I would prefer not to rebuild the wheel either... Our organization has used Tessitura for years, but I'm brand new to it. I do see some forum discussion about people using PHP. I'm still reviewing them.So just some quick questions while I continue to read through the forum: - Does anyone know members who have custom box office sites written in PHP?- Is anyone interested in working together on development of box office site written in PHP?Thanks,Andrew
Andrew,
Our website (launched in summer 2010 – www.theatreworks.org) is a PHP site. We don’t have in-house PHP expertise, though, and worked with a developer that specializes in PHP: Synapse Group out of the SF Bay Area. We’re quite happy with them, and found them very responsive and flexible. I understand they are currently working on a new site at 5th Avenue in Seattle. They might have some tools/expertise that could help you. If you’d like their contact information, please email me directly. kirk@theatreworks.org
