Session Minutes

Hi All,

We are looking to extend the minutes for our shopping cart session.  I went into the seatserver config and edited the SessionTimeoutMinutes and our shopping cart is still set to the time it was before I made the change.

Where else am I supposed to change this setting?  I know that there is the T_Defaults for Web Lock Timeout, but even after reading the docs and other posts, I don’t think this is where I set for the session timer.  What am I missing?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Beth Ann

  • Hi Beth Ann,

Have you restarted the Tessitura services running on the API server? You may need to do that before the changes you made in the web.config file will take affect. Also, there's a setting for how often to run the process that actually drops the timed-out carts, "TIMEOUT_NAPTIME". Reducing that value will make the dropping of the carts happen more quickly once the "TIMEOUT_MINUTES" value is reached.

    Hi Morgan,

Our services were restarted and now the session minutes for the shopping cart indeed match my changes to the SessionTimeoutMinutes made in the seatserver config.  Thanks for the heads up!

    Kind regards,

    Beth Ann
