We're working on setting up the TNEW mobile ticket feature in our Test database at the moment. We have a user-defined element on our printed, PAH, and mobile app tickets that displays the Door # for their seat so the ushers can easily direct them where to go. I'm following along with the documentation on adding new design elements to the mobile tickets, and it even provides details on how to add user defined elements. However, any attempt to add a new design element variable doesn't seem to work for me. I even tried adding the production season info 4 text in the exact manner outline in the documentation and it does not work. And when I test it in debug mode, those data elements never actually appear as available data elements.
Anyone else have experience with customizing these mobile ticket HTML templates?
Jesse Dillman,
I went through this exact situation a couple of months ago. The documentation I think IS correct, though the key point was hard to locate because it was in an are of ticket design at which I had literally NEVER looked before.
I never realized that, in the ticket design set-up, you had to add it first to the Digital type first and then add it to the HTML template. That is, not the Boca design, but the Digital design, which I never even realized was there.
If that is not what is tripping you up, then best of luck. But that is what tripped me up.

AHA! That is exactly what I was missing. I must have looked right over that part in the documentation.
Oh, so did I.
It is on this page: https://www.tessituranetwork.com/Help_System/Tessitura.htm#Topics/TNEW%20Templates/TNEW%20Mobile%20Ticket%20Template.htm
And it is this sentence right here:
I just had no idea that was even a thing. Anyway, glad I could help! It took me ages to figure out what I needed to do.
