To attempt to save the line at the showtime box office our Patron Services Director is wondering if TNEW has a way to have the student scan and upload their ID via TNEW. Any thoughts?

They can't upload an image outside of a customisation, maybe at precart, and capturing Personably Identifiable Info you'd want to delete that anyway.
You could set up a form field in a GA sales pathway and have them enter their student number and have that caught by a stored procedure and update their records in a variety of ways attribute, constituency, CSI etc.
