Google Analytics & TNEW issues

Hi all,

We recently encountered an issue where our longstanding pixels stopped firing as expected. We’re having trouble with the show specific trigger (meaning, we’ll be able to see how many people purchased a ticket from an ad, but we won’t know which show they purchased). And we are also still having trouble pulling in the value associated with a purchase conversion (so we can see the conversion, but not what they paid for their ticket(s)).

Posting here in case anyone else has experienced a similar glitch recently, and/or if the brilliant brain trust here has any recommendations in mind for a fix? We have submitted a support ticket and are awaiting a more detailed response. Some more specific questions and context below.

What parameters should the agency be using in their tags to pull in the show code, the “Revenue” and “Order ID”? They are currently using:

  • Show code: {{perf_desc}}
  • Revenue: {{order_total}}
  • Order ID: {{order_id}}

Seemingly unrelated, we also recently implemented a GA4 Measurement ID to collect information for our upcoming port over to GA4.

Many thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide! I am far from a GTM/GA expert. And pairing it with TNEW is its own can of worms for my brain.
