Issues with PAH in iCloud

I have a feeling this is more of an apple issue and not a Tessitura problem, but I've noticed recently that for my personal email that I use to test PAH tickets with, the PAH attachment does not display and is not accessible when viewing my iCloud email from a web browser on a PC by just logging into icloud.com. The attachment is visible when I open my email on my iPhone or when I send it to another email address. As we were implementing a new PAH design in TEST, I was sending emails to this address left and right and was able to view the pdf in the browser without issue. But about a week or 2 ago when we launched the new design in PROD, all of a sudden the attachments were not accessible, and when I looked back at the previous sent emails from TEST, those attachments were not accessible either despite being accessible a week or 2 earlier. So that leads me to believe something happened with iCloud or my iCloud account and not with Tessitura. I have not had much chance to test with any other iCloud users, most of them use macs anyway. But curious if anyone else experienced this issue?

  • Hi Jesse,

This is Jessica Jelinek with the Tessitura Support team.  Since you're able to open the PDF attachments in other email accounts and on your iPhone, this sounds like an issue with iCloud Mail needing access to Adobe Reader in order to display these PDF files.  I've done a bit of searching for this issue online and have found the following discussion thread on Apple's website:

    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/253684323

Can you please have a look and see if Apple's suggestions make any difference for you?

Let us know if you have any additional questions and we'll be happy to help.

    Thank you,

    Jessica
