Add Field on TNEW Create Account Page?

Hello,

On the TNEW Create Account page, in addition to capturing contact information, we'd like to add a field for additional information. Has anyone done this or does anyone have ideas on how to go about this? Your help is appreciated!

Thanks,

Emily Gildea

  • Hi Emily, Gawain, and John,

Although not standard functionality, the TNEW Customization Framework does provide opportunities for adding custom data collection on the Create Account or Update Account Pages among other pages.

As I mentioned, this is not out-of-the-box functionality but for an example of a similar implementation, the TNEW Contact Permissions plug-in collects preferences on the Create and Update Account pages as well as on the Cart Details and Payment pages if desired.

Our support team can definitely connect you with help for implementing a customization if it is so desired. (hello@tessituranetwork.com)

If there is something specific you are looking to collect that the TNEW pages do not collect though, I would love to hear about it for enhancing these pages in the future.

    Thanks,
    Paul

  • Hi Paul,

Thank you for the information. I'd like to be able to capture university ID numbers when folks in our university community create accounts. We're going to look into other ways to capture this information for now, as we don't have the capacity for a big customization project at the moment. As a TNEW enhancement, being able to add custom fields to the account page that capture  information like this and save it as additional information on constituent records would be great to have.

    Thanks,
    Emily
