Hi all,
I feel like I'm working with some conflicting information, and hope someone can send me down the correct path.
We are self-hosted using TNEW7 and are trying to set up the plug-in for personalized contribution asks during subscription orders.
Can you confirm if any of these statements are true:
A: This plug-in will work for NEW FLEX subscription orders online
B: This plug-in will work for RENEWING FIXED subscription orders only
C: BOTH! It will work for all subscription orders - new or renewing, fixed or flex
D: Something else??
Thanks for your help!
Lesley
Hello Lesley,
Paul Callas here with Tessitura. I recently implemented this with Baltimore Symphony Orchestra https://my.bsomusic.org/packages and I can confirm that it is Option C. Let me know if you need anymore assistance with this?
Cheers,
Paul
Thank you Paul! We have gotten to the point that the plug in is firing, but since all of our upcoming orders will be NEW flex orders, not renewing orders, we are only getting the default ask for new orders, not the personalized asks.
Based on the info from per_sub_cont_default_new_pkg_amt in the the LTR_TNEWCUSTOM_WEB_DEFAULTS table, is that the behavior we should expect? "This amount will be used for patrons purchasing a new package regardless of an entry in LT_TNEWCUSTOM_PER_SUB_CONT"
Hey Lesley - Sorry I missed that you wanted the personalised ask for new buyers. The main issue is that the customer would need to be logged in before the ask is displayed. In the personalised ask the customer has to log in to access their renewal first and then they get the personalised ask. I will be honest and say I didn't test this but if you log in first then add a new flex package do you get the generic ask which I was referring to or do you get the personalised one?
I do not get the personalized ask, whether I am logged in or not.
Paul, we just got off a call with support, and the plug-in is behaving as expected. The personalized asks are only for renewal orders.
Hey Leslie, glad it is sorted. I was going to have a read of the code but I thought the answer on that was a no but it was worth a try. I got a confused by the personal ask vs generic ask.
Thanks so much for jumping in to help!
