Hey friends! We've been using the new Virtual Experiences feature in TNEW and this is something my marketing department is asking for. When selling these events, we would like to be able to ask the patron how many people will be viewing/attending the video performance. We only require one ticket per household, but are interested in tracking/reporting an estimate of actual viewership. Obviously, accuracy will be rough at best as the patron could under- or over-report and we'd have no way to actually track. But it would still be nice to be able to ask. We would rather not do this as an exit survey or a customization, but I haven't been able to think of an elegant way to add this question to the purchase path. Any ideas?
Thanks for this -- I will pass it along! I think maybe he has some SQL script or something that will pull CSIs into a spreadsheet, yes.
It's also possible to have the data be sent to a stored procedure, which can do more complex things with it. It will be a lot more work, though, especially if you want to see it reports or Analytics.
This is a popular topic! I was just talking to Greg Campbell at Minnesota Opera about this. Heath Wilder has a report that is basically a big Pivot Table for Aux Survey CSIs! We've been using it for our School Shows. I'd be happy to send it over - I just sent it to Greg too. Shoot me an email - lily.pipkin@balletaustin.org - and I can send you the report files.
It comes out looking like this:
Thank you both -- , that report is awesome! My guy might already have something, but I will tell him about this and definitely email you if he wants it. Thanks!!
The report is literally the world biggest CTE (and could do with some improving on my mediocre SQL skills) but it works.
This worked for us using Best Seat but not for SYOS unfortunately. I'm assuming that it doesn't work for SYOS (non-digital event)? We'd ideally have it for SYOS as well so that we can collect additional details such as contact tracing information etc.
