I am selling merchandise on TNEW. I need to sell seated to control inventory, and I need the zones to display in the cart because we are using an add-on page that displays the zones, so that's how we are listing the different items available. However, the "seats" are showing in the cart. I thought setting "location displayed in cart" to "False" would do that, but it doesn't.
I'm about to set up an actual gen adm performance where the seat locations will REALLY confuse people, so any advice would be appreciated!
Hi Lindsay -
Not an answer, but two pieces of information I've found crucial to getting the cart etc to feel right to patrons when the product isn't a traditional person::chair situation.
1. The GA Best Seating Map box (like Greg just replied) -- this is what gets the rollup "items" label to kick in, which hides a bunch of things that don't make sense when it's not an assigned chair.
2. Name things within the facility to fit what appears publicly. Obviously, you'll need it to be a different facility than you use to sell normal seats and will need to keep labels logical for internal reporting too, but there's no rule saying you have to use theater terms like Balcony (etc) for those names!
Hope these leads help.
Jamie
