I am selling merchandise on TNEW. I need to sell seated to control inventory, and I need the zones to display in the cart because we are using an add-on page that displays the zones, so that's how we are listing the different items available. However, the "seats" are showing in the cart. I thought setting "location displayed in cart" to "False" would do that, but it doesn't.
I'm about to set up an actual gen adm performance where the seat locations will REALLY confuse people, so any advice would be appreciated!
Hey Lindsay,
The faciity you're using for merch, does it have a Best Seat map with 'GA Best Seating Map' checked? I'm pretty sure that will make the cart just display X items.
How did I not know this??? Thank you so much.
When I have the GA Best Seating Map checked our order confirmations have the location output as 'General Admission' rather than being hidden even though it is hidden on TNEW itself. Is this the case for others and have you done anything to change or hide it?
I'm trying to sort out a new email template currently to address some of those things, but the big problem is that order confirmation templates are generally filled by Tessitura, and much of the information that makes TNEW carts nice is stored in the completely separate TNEW database, which Tessitura has little access to. There is a way to import some TNEW configuration information back into Tessitura, which I will be exploring soon, but I don't know what all is available yet.
I haven't dealt with this yet (it's on the list), but the person who normally deals with templates says our order confirmation emails no longer work when they are sent out of Tessitura, even though they still work in TNEW. Apparently there have been changes, possibly because of the needs of digital content. I will probably figure out that our email confirmations look terrible the day before we go on sale...
Yes that's basically the situation I'm in having just found out we are starting to sell digital content next Tuesday. They may just have to live with email confirmations that are confusing...
Yeah, ours are a little wacky, but we haven't had any complaints. Or none have been forwarded to me at least. We already have issues with our contributions (as they are actually money on account).
I think I found in a .xslt where General Admission populates if GA Best seat is checked. I haven't figured out if it's possible to change this depending on performance type though. We could remove this hard code entirely or leave it as is
