Digital Content & Performance Availability

Hello everyone!

We will be having digital performances, a combination of live streams and pre-recorded content.  I have a few questions about the availability functionality on TNEW.

For these performances, they will be recorded earlier in the day and then made available that evening to mimic the actual concert time.  So the event has a specific performance date and time.  However, people will be able to access the stream for 45 days after the performance date, and new people would be able to purchase the recording and watching up until the 45th day.

If I keep the performance date as the original one, but extend the MOS dates and Web Client dates out 45 days, will that keep the performance in the Digital Content hub? If the performance date is 9/24, but the MOS and Web Client Dates extend, would someone people able to purchase on 9/25 or 10/14, etc? Does the performance disappear?

My same questions apply for the LIVE streamed events.  Those will also have specific dates and time, but available to watch afterwards AND for people to purchase the record (within the 45 day limit).

Am I going along the right path here?  Thanks in advance!

  • As I understand it, the performance will remain available in the digital hub based on the "Days After" setting for Digital Content in the TNEW Admin.

However, TNEW will stop showing the performance for sale after the performance date.

We have "digital premieres" followed by a period of video-on-demand availability.  Our plan is to set the performance to the date of the premiere (so that it sorts nicely on our listing page and appears appropriately in our calendar) until the event, at which time we will flip the performance date to be the end of the VOD availability window.  We are not displaying the dates for our digital events in TNEW, but just providing the information in copy on the site.

Thank you for clarifying this for me! I think I'll do something similar to you and change the event date once the initial performance has happened, and also update how the information about the date and time are listed.

Alternatively, I could probably set the performance date to be that 45 day end date, and set the availability to be 45 days before the performance date to 0 days, so that it would be available until the contractually mandated date and still for sale.
