Hi all - We are currently hosting conversations between curators as a weekly event called "Desktop Dialogues" using Microsoft Teams. For the first couple we just sent the link out into the world and have found the Teams report difficult in terms of tracking how many outside viewers, duration of views, staff members, etc. Our new plan is to sell free tickets to the events via TNEW, which is all set up and ready to go. The initial thought was to include the link to the Desktop Dialog as dynamic content using LTR_TNEW_DYN_EMAIL_CONTENT. Our Director of Tech wants to link to a redirect page first so we can track actual viewers with Google Analytics and he is setting that up. I've been tasked with pulling the Tessitura customer_no into the link for the redirect page so that each confirmation email for this production season will contain a unique link for that user. Is this possible in this table, and how would I do that? I know enough html to kind-of-parse my way through the HTML templates we use for other confirmations and it looks like there is a lot involved. If the customer_no is already referenced in the confirmation above, how much code do I need to reference it in the link?
Any help is appreciated!
Hi Jim,
It is great to see that you are planning to track and use digital content. An upcoming version of TNEW will support selling digital content natively as a ticket, with access-controlled HTML pages that you can embed content like YouTube videos or other media into at your discretion. In the meantime, we have seen most organizations doing exactly as you describe, using the LTR_TNEW_DYN_EMAIL_CONTENT to send a link to customers that have purchased content. Unfortunately, a limit of that table and functionality is that you cannot embed a dynamic value like a customer_no into the URL.
I would love to hear more about your Desktop Dialogues program though, so feel free to reach out if you have more questions about our upcoming TNEW release that will contain more functionality for you to use.
Thanks,
Paul
