Tracking Different Email Sign Ups

Hi all,

We just implemented an email sign up widget on several different webpages- For example, we have a place on hollywoodbowl.com to sign up for information regarding that venue, one on laphil.com to receive information for that venue, and one on our education page to sign up to receive information on regarding those programs.  I just wanted to check in and see if anyone else has opportunites to sign up fro different newsletters on their website.  If so, how are you tracking which newsletters patrons are opting into?  Are you doing this through appeals, interests, contact permissions, or something else?

Thanks,

Justin

  • Hey Justin,

This is Kyle with the Tessitura Network support team. Can you give us a little bit of insight as to how you are currently managing this? There are some API calls that can be made to create contact permissions or interests on a patron's record, and we have some great ecosystem partners (Wordfly, Prospect2) that specialize in email management integration with Tessitura.

Looking forward to the rest of this discussion!

    Kyle

  • I'm interested with how you manage this as well!

We've always wanted to be able to 'tag' a sign up when customers use the create account/create account brief TNEW pages so we know what prompted their sign up. It would be great if an attribute was created when they signed up so that we knew if they signed up for a particular pre-sale alert or waitlist for example.

It would also be great if customers that already had logins were matched to existing constituents and then tagged with that attribute.

We currently use interests to manage general communication preferences and interests but think attributes for tagging specific purposes would be ideal.

    Thanks,

    Thomas
