We are on TNEW Version 7, and I am using this time to look into our accessibility concerns (like we should have been doing a while ago). As such, while Tessitura certainly has the option of unchecking the "Allow HTML" box in order to default to text-only e-mails and Wordfly will respect that, I am wondering how patrons are supposed to indicate that when they are signing up for and/or managing their accounts online. If someone knows that they prefer the text-only version of the e-mail, that would be the place they would want to indicate that instead of having to wait until they receive their first e-mail and then responding asking that it be changed. Or so I would assume.
I suppose it might be possible to do something with interests and then use a nightly procedure to update the associated e-mails, but that would only work for the entire patron account.
Just seeing what others are doing and thinking out there.
