We are having an issue with some of our online membership donations. If someone with an active membership donates online, the new donation is overriding the existing membership rather than being added to it or upgrading it. So for instance we had someone who had already donated at a $250 level. Later they submitted another donation of $50. That donation should have kept them at that same level and just added $50 to their AVC. But what it did instead was completely change the existing record, and moved them to the $50 level with a $250 AVC amount.
I've looked over the contribution type setup in system tables and it appears to be correct. The "Is Upgrade?" box is unchecked because the documentation says that is used to override donations done in the renewal period. Anyone else come across this problem?
Hi Jesse -- if you look in the memberships set up, could it be that you have the box labelled "Deactivate on adjustment" checked?
