Web Fees for Education Classes?

Do you charge web fees for education classes?

Parents
  • We have a new student fee that is a one-time $20 charge per student. This is designed to cover admistrative costs and a First Stage T-shirt. We require a minimum deposit of $35/class, but that is just taken off the remaining balance due (so not really a "fee" per se). But we don't chanrge a processing or handling fee like we do on ticket orders.

  • Sorry, I hate to jump in here and be the bad guy, but we have a strict forum policy against the discussion of fees and pricing.

For brevity, I'm posting text from a previous thread:

Anti-Trust laws do indeed prohibit the discussion of specific pricing and fees on forums.  For further reference regarding these restrictions, there is a document posted on Footprints in the Reference Materials project under Special Network Notices called ‘Antitrust Warning Regarding Activities’.

And here is an excerpt from the Anti-trust document:

do not solicit or post any information regarding specific prices or fees charged or paid, and do not post any information concerning pricing practices, discounts, credit terms, or other terms or conditions of sale either obtained by or offered to another entity. Do not solicit or post any information concerning market shares, salaries, costs, sales territories, or encouraging the selection, rejection or termination of customers or suppliers.  Included within this prohibition are any unfavorable reports involving particular suppliers.

So please discontinue this string of messages regarding specific pricing offered by your venues.

While we certainly don't want to do anything to prohibit active and engaging dialogue, this is one area that must not be discussed in the community area of TessituraNetwork.com.
