Website Platform Questions

1) What percentage of Tessitura licensees are completely relying on the shopping cart/commerce functionality of the Tessitura API?  Are there any licensees which are using a different shopping cart application and are working independently or in parallel with the Tessitura shopping cart?  If there are any that are using something other than Tessitura, what are they using?

2) What percentage of licensees are selling items on their website which are not typical products for sale through Tessitura?  (Merchandise, digital music, food, lodging, etc.)  How are they selling them on their website?  Through Tessitura or through a different shopping cart?

3) What benchmarks have licensees identified in order to better understand the abilities of Tessitura to handle high volume sales?  What scenarios work best in terms of scaling up and down?

If anyone can help me with information about your respective experiences, I would greatly appreciate it.

    I cannot answer all your question, but the Science Museum has sold audio tours from Tessitura via our website. We also sell memberships, but not from the same cart. We also have an upsell feature that shows a ticket purchaser how much they  would save by becoming a member, and the patron can click over to the membership page to complete their membership, but they must  then log back into the ticket cart. Sounds confusing but it works very well. If we were creating our web pages today, I am told we would not need to use two carts, but this brings me beyond my technical ability.
