We are tackling promo codes and offers. I realize that the API only supports one source_no per order, but I'm wondering if anyone has a creative workaround to allowing users to apply different promo codes per line item in a cart.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I know I’ve heard of a couple users doing it. I’m not remembering who right now, but hopefully they will chime in. It was handled with custom web coding (there’s nothing built in to Tessitura or the API that will let you do it) and allowed users to use different promo codes to access different discounts, but there was still only one source code recorded (the last one used) for the order for reporting purposes. There is no workaround for that.

Hornall Anderson designed our site to accommodate this but I'm not really sure how this was accomplished but maybe they can be of help.I can tell you however that for us this ability has proven totally pointless and will probably not be incorporated into our new site.
I remember Kristin Tigart mentioning, at the UK conference, that this was available in the latest release of the API.
At least she said you are allowed to enter a promocode attach the seat with that offer then enter a new code (once you amend your website code to support this) and gain access to a new offer which could then be added to the basket. However, only one of the sources would be recorded against the order.
We haven't looked at using this yet, so cannot say with any certainty that it is possible.
