In Rollover documentation for V14 it states:
"Should the date on the order be the date the order was created (the rollover date) or the date the first payment is received?"
We want our patrons to be able to renew online thru the Renewal path on Tnew V6. Last season, as always, we left the order date blank. IF we put an order date in the rollover/renewal order, can patrons log in and renew their subs? I thought I read somewhere that once an order had a date on it, it could not be loaded for renewal.

Hi Jessica,We always leave the order dates blank on our rollover sets, and we have our patrons renewing through the renewal path on TNEW6 as well as through Tessitura. We leave the order date blank, because we set it to the date of when the first payment is received, which we use to prioritize the patrons' seats when we're doing seating. According to the documentation "Many organizations prefer to record the date of first payment on a renewal order as the order date, and in that case the order field on the renewal set should be left blank." It sounds like (and someone please correct me if I'm wrong) even if you put the order date on your rollovers, patrons will still be able to renew online, but the order date will stay as whatever you set it to.
I hope this helps! I'm actually working on our rollovers as we speak, so I'm deep in renewal mode in case you have any other questions.
Yes, we normally leave the date blank to. But we were thinking of a different process for next season, and I wanted to make sure it would work with TNEW with a date set. I'm in the mist of season set up too. #funtimes
