Hi folks,
There was an email sent out announcing that all major features for Tnew v7 had now been rolled out. We were wondering if anyone could confirm that the guest check out option is available with v7?
Thanks,
Melanie
Thanks Gawain Lavers -
That is correct - Guest Checkout is slated to be complete in Q1 of 2019 and is well underway - It is not yet ready for use in v7, however. The Beta will be starting soon -
Melanie Evans Non-flex NFS and Order/Contrib history are on the roadmap for completion this year, and are slotted in between some newer features that we are working on delivering in parallel.
The Roadmap document that Gawain shared is the best place to see at a glance what we have in process and what's next.
Can you let me know what communication you received indicating feature parity was complete between v7/v6? We may want to follow that up with clarification in case others read it similarly.
Many thanks!
Chris Szalaj
Thanks Chris and Gawain!
We'll keep waiting for news on the guest check out front (we're avoiding upgrading before its rollout).
My ask was prompted by an email from the Tessitura Web Products Team titled "TNew in 2019: What You Need to Know" sent yesterday.
In the first paragraph it states that "In 2018, we delivered all major features for TN Express Web (TNEW) v7 and added key improvements along the way based on your feedback. " which is what prompted our question regarding the guest check out feature we've been waiting for. For us the guest check out is considered a major feature and we hadn't heard updates on its progress since the conference in 2017 and webinars in early 2018.
Hi Melanie,
I can certainly see how that is misleading! We'll be sure to revisit that in future communications to avoid confusion.
If you want to stay in closer touch with how development is progressing on new features like Guest Checkout, the best way to do so is to attend our monthly public product progress reviews, or "Sprint Reviews" - we demo progress on new features or defect fixes, discuss the roadmap, and gather input and feedback directly from the community. Anyone from the Network community is welcome to attend.
You register for them by signing into tessituranetwork.com, and going to the https://community.tessituranetwork.com/p/network-communications page. There, you can check the box for "Web Products Sprint Review Information" and receive notifications when we open registration for each month's review.
Thanks for your question and participation in the forums!
