Is there a way to get donation history visible in a customer's account online? We are using TNEW.

Contribution history was a feature in TNEW v6 that is not currently available in v7. It is on the roadmap, but I believe not in the near future. Depending on urgency it might be a relatively cheap customization.
As Gawain mentioned it is not in v7, but you can use shared sessions (preferred) or create a precart page (acceptable).
