Searching for a way that we can Hold/Allocation a Group of Seats that our Patrons can then use an online Promo Code to gain access to. The seats would appear as Reserved or Sold to anyone online who does NOT have this Promo Code. What is the easiest way to go about this - is this even possible?

We do this with allocations. Set up your promo code in Tess to shift ot a new MOS Then, create an allocation that's only available in the new MOS and apply it to the seats you want restricted.

I am just now seeing this. When I do this, the new MOS for the Web tells me that everything is Sold Out (which is not the case). Have you run in to this issue before?
There can be lots of reasons for this. I find the best way to troubleshoot, especially with allocations, is to create an order in Tess that mimics what your website is doing. Login as the Web user group, open a web batch, and try to create the order using the source and MOS. This might give you a better error message. Usually, I forget to give the Web User access to a new MOS or allocation in security.
