Hi, it's me again, asking TNEW V7 questions.
For those of you on V7 and/or testing V7, did you have a dual ask in your V6 version?
In TNEW V6, we had a simple contribution ask module on the checkout/shipping page that basically asked for a gift. And if they ignored the ask, they were served up on the checkout/payment page the round up module. In V7, the payment path has been streamlined and the simple contribution ask AND the round up asks are on the same page. The benefit of having the ask and the round up asks on different page was to serve 2 functions: solicit a bigger gift from someone philanthropic that would have otherwise given a round up gift and/or solicit a round up gift from someone who is not inclined to give a bigger gift but feels guilty. Having them both on the same page defeats this purpose. Having analyzed the data from when we implemented this dual ask two years ago, I can say with full confidence that we will see a large drop in revenue should the dual ask go away. Has anyone already on V7 found a way to have both asks but appear on separate places without impeding the purchase path and cause frustration and annoyance for the patrons? In my dreams, the simple contribution ask would appear as a pop-up on the cart/details page and if they refuse that ask, they go on to the cart/payment page with the roundup module. But at this point, I will take anything that anyone else has come up with to solve this neat little problem.
