Change MOS upon login

Hi all

I hope there is someone out there who can help me figure this out. We have a setup, using only two standard price types and few MOS but a lot of pricing rules. Our single ticket buyers pay a fee when booking, our subscribers does not. So my problem is that I am certain that I have seen this scenario happen: A subscriber add something to the basket, then login and the MOS is shifted, pricing rules fires, fees are removed. But for some reason this does not happen at the moment. We have the same price types in both mos, so it is possible to change MOS even though they have something in the basket, but do anyone know which call to use in order to have the MOS shift through the web? We are not on TNEW.

Hope someone is having the answer, cause my brilliant setup needs this last thing in order to be bullitt proof.

Thanks

Eva

  • Hi Eva,

We have come across the exact same problem with our members (who don't get charged a fee). Once something has been added to the basket the MOS can't be changed.

One way we are trying to combat this is with messaging to encourage our members to log in sooner. We use TNEW so are taking advantage of one of the content feilds at the top of the selectseating page.

Is the fee removal attached to the MOS switch? Could you try a Price that is deducts the fee as well? So the saving is the same to the customer but the fee line remains? Although, the messaging around this gets a little tricky as the benifit for both (our members/your subscribers) it that no fee is charged.

I think Pricing Rules that take off fees could be a good enhanchment request.

  • Hi Kelly, thanks for getting back with me. The fees are attached to the MOS, so thats the reason the MOS should change. We do not change price type, we keep the standard price type, and just give a percentage discount. There must be a way to change MOS in the basket, without loosing the items in the basket, since this is possible in the client. I just need to figure out the call. Who are you working with on Tessitura to solve the issue?

    Thanks
