For those of you that use SYOS, When somebody clicks on a seat, do you reserve the seat at that time or do you let the customer finish picking all of their seats for that performance and then reserve all of the seats with one call. Currently we do the latter, but we are having an issue with orphan seats. If a customer is reserving say 2 seats and one of them causes an orphan, the seat that did not have an issue still gets reserved and the orphan does not. The question is, do you release the good seat and let the customer re seat all of their seats? Our issue is that if the customer moves both their seats to a different location, that original good seat is still reserved even though our SYOS map is showing something different. I know it is a programming issue with the map, but wondering if wouldn't be easier just to release all of the seats.

We use a single call to reserve the seats in SYOS and have not had any problems with that, to the best of my knowledge. If there is an issue with the availability of their choice, we ask to pick from scratch, I believe.
