Login with Promo Source codes for discounted tickets on the Web

We would like to start offering discounted tickets to specific events online.

I promoted a list, entered the source number in TR_Web_Source_No., associated the Web EXTRAS MOS with the appropriate Price type, ensured that the price type and MOS had the correct start and end dates.

For some reason when I login with the promo code, it no longer lets me purchase any tickets to my event and says tickets are unavailable. When I login without the promo code it lets me purchase tickets.

Any thoughts on a step I may be overlooking?

  • If this is a brand new mode of sale, it’s likely that you forgot to associate it with the Unassigned allocation code.   It’s a pretty common mistake (one I made all the time myself as a user).  You can test this in the application by going into a ticket order and selecting the Web Extras MOS.  Then add the performance and go to the seat map.  If all the seats have red dots, allocations are definitely the problem.

To fix it, go to Facility Manager, select the Hold/Alloc Maps tab, click Maintain Allocation Codes button, select the Unassigned code in the top pane, and then click Add in the bottom pane and select the Web Extras MOS.  Save the changes and you should be good.
