TNEW - Can you store media on this or does it need to be separate?

Hello! We are looking at TNEW as our website tool and just wondered how much storage is available?  We have a lot of media clips (PDF of reviews, audio and video files.)  Would we be able to hold this all on a TNEW website or would we need a separate website and just use TNEW for the Tessitura functionalities on certain pages? Thank you!

  • TNEW as a web application doesn't store any event information or media -- the only licensee-specific media it will store is your template, and this is just the static imagery that will be present on every page.

Content for your events is stored in your Tessitura database, and pulled through TNEW to display on pages. This content in some cases should be image URLs, and in other places you are able to add HTML with links to other media.

This means that for something like your event imagery, you will need to host those files yourself. You should only load images or other resources into TNEW pages using HTTPS (SSL), so your server will need to have an SSL certificate. (Otherwise, certain browsers will display security notifications about "resources being loaded insecurely".)

If this sounds like a tall order, it doesn't actually have to be your own server -- lots of cloud services like dropbox are capable of serving raw images over HTTPS for free -- you just have to know how to generate those links.
