We're exploring the idea of running a contest in conjunction with one or more performances. For legal reasons the contest must allow entry without purchase, so we can't link it to ticket purchase.
What I envision is that entrants would either log in or create a new account; then their information would be flagged as a contest entrant. And that's where I'm stuck -- I've seen mention in the forums of using Attributes to do this, but the technical piece isn't described.
Also, for obvious reasons, we'd want to allow ticket buyers to enter as well, so whatever method of entry we use should be present both on the non-purchase path and the purchase path.
Has anyone done something like this using TNEW? I would love suggestions/comments/direction toward resources.
