As a museum, we have several member levels and often offer programming that is specific to a certain member level. Since some of these events/opportunities drive membership upgrades or deepen a member's engagement with the museum, we want to list all of the events on our site for all to see; Then when they select that for their basket, the visitor logs in and either keeps going because they meet the appropriate criteria or is given a message to upgrade/purchase a membership since they currently don't meet the criteria. Has anyone been successful at filtering events like this using Tessitura? Since it's not just a simple MEMBER-yes/no equation, we're not currently seeing how best to implement this functionality.
Thank you - Tricia Milford-Hoyt, Philbrook (Tulsa, Okla.)
I have done exactly as Janna described. We had a Member MOS, that was used to protect member discounts for general events, and for member exclusive events, was the only web MOS. Our members were assigned a web ranking based on their constituency, which enabled the member MOS.
We didn't need to go further than that, but it would certainly be feasible to have an allocation of seats that were only available in a member MOS if you wanted to offer a portion of tickets to members.
Have fun, member event ticketing is very interesting!
