Collecting 3rd Party Payments in TNEW

Do any of you collect funds in TNEW that are paid to a 3rd party?

Our consortium members use a local Performing Arts Center which is not on Tessitura and thus they do not currently use the ticketing function for performances.

However, as a service to their constituents, our members will accept subscription renewal payments online, via mail or in person.  Our members then log into the PAC system to renew the actual seats for them.  These transactions are currently not recorded in Tessitura.

However with TNEW the web payments will appear on the constituent record as either "on account" or as a "gift" -- neither of which is desirable.  We are trying to figure out how we can zero out this transaction on their record so we can see they renewed online but it doesn't skew their giving history and tax receipts.

I notice some of you collect funds for parking and/or restaurants and might have encountered the same challenge.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks, Barbara Pinney   Tulsa Arts Management Consortium

  • Hi Barbara,

Is there any way to convince the venue to switch software? If they are a Broadway Across America house and tell you they "have to" use That other T software; that is not necessarily true. Then you could all sell for each other (my dream consortium). Sorry I can't be of more help but I don't think there's a clean way to handle this.
