What is the trick to keep the numbers from printing with the barcodes?
The "Print Barcode Text" boolean in the Tessitura ticket design window seems to have no effect on this.
hmmm....never tried to do that. Can you set the Font Color to White (assuming a white background of course) in the Properties > Appearance of the Adobe template?
Well, it's printing in the same filed as the barcode, so that won't work.
You are printing it with the numbers?
We are pretty set on the idea that we have no extraneous information on our tickets, if it's not actionable we don't want it. We already have the patron number, and no usher is going to key in the n-scan number.
Lol - yeah, I was actually just coming back to say "you know - nevermind - that would probably just white out the barcode too" -
We like having the ticket number printed on the PAH sheet more for the Box Office or roaming service reps - because you are right, the ushers won't have time to deal with that.
well, it's a really dirty hack, but you could draw a box on the template, fill it to match the background color and position it so that it covers the text.
I guess the Show Barcode Text in ticket design is just for the Boca - the PAH service probably just streams the whole thing to Adobe. It's either a bug or an enhancement request :)
Good luck,
Hey, it works! How about that, I love hacks!
OK, here's how you do it for posterity; in Acrobat Pro you use the rectangle tool, set the fill to white, I have a red border on here, but that's just for testing to arrange the rectangle, I then set the border to white.
Hi there - is this still the only way to avoid having the numbers spit out with the barcode in the PAH PDF?
thanks,
Frannie
Yes Frannie, as far as I know this is it. They have not seemed to have modified the PAHT service at all in the past few updates.
