Hi Michele -
We've done our SYOS with responsive design. It wouldn't say it is 100% - it needs a little more tweaking to make it great on really small screens (fat fingers and the like), but we've been pretty happy with it.
Our SYOS is HTML5 Canvas with Ajax. Our site uses MVC.
